How the boardwalk will complete the 15km Harbour Walk

The Blackwattle Bay Precinct is returning Sydney Harbour’s western foreshore to the community for the first time in over a century. 

Mirvac has been announced as the development partner for the renewal of the former Sydney Fish Market site. As part of this work, Mirvac will deliver a 30‑metre‑wide foreshore promenade and a new boardwalk connection to Bank Street Park. Importantly, this foreshore access will be delivered early in the development, before the first residents move in.

The boardwalk will be delivered independently of private development, ensuring the missing link in the Harbour Walk is completed.

Once finished, the boardwalk will connect Rozelle Bay to Woolloomooloo as part of a 15‑kilometre continuous Harbour Walk, improving access to the waterfront for walking, cycling and recreation.
